Quiktrip (QT) had been producing Rooster Booster and Donkey Kick energy drinks for years but a public perception problem had started to take hold across the nation. The cartoon style characters appealed to young kids – it was time for their energy drink offer to grow up.
We approached it as creating a drink that an 18-28 year old would feel comfortable holding around their friends. Something they could confidently carry around campus, at parties or to the gym. Using bold fractal filled typography and a medallion like descriptor we were able to create a very distinctive and quickly recognized can.
